How to view my V380 IP camera remotely?

We received user feedback that V380 IP camera could not be viewed remotely, for example: at company, outdoors, abroad, outside the home. We have written a detailed tutorial.

Remote View V380 IP Camera Tutorial:
1. First download and install the V380 APP to your mobile phone (use the mobile phone to scan the QR code on the package)

2. Open the “Settings” item on your phone, select “Wireless LAN” or “WLAN”, search for the router's wireless network signal, and connect to the router.

3. Connect the camera to the charger and turn it on, waiting for the camera voice prompt.

4. Open your V380 APP and register your account.

5. Select to use the wireless wifi connection, enter the wifi account, password in the APP interface, click Next after success.

5. The phone app will search for nearby camera devices and wait for the connection.

6. After monitoring the connection, you can view the monitoring screen.

If you are away from home, you can use the company's wifi or mobile network data to remotely view the camera.

    3. You need to first get your outside IP address as the IP address of the world has to get to your computer can you get that by typing in a browser find my IP or what’s my IP then you open up the program going to settings this is for the V380 click on IP click on manual and put everything the way it is on your network except where it says Gateway do you want to put your outside IP address everything else is the same the 1921-6811 and the whole 9 yards and then it will work remotely

    1. Do you have to obtain your outside IP address easiest way to do so is to open up an Internet browser on your phone while logged into the network that your cameras on and type in the address bar what’s my IP you may have to add the 47 pages open up and you’ll see you’re outside IP address that is the actual address of your camera when you’re not on your way to stellar

    3. Hi i have 3 different cameras all run on v380 pro, initially configured while on same wifi, when im at work im on work wifi but yet able to access all 3 cameras from my v380 app.

As most wifi routers come default with 2.4g and 5g wifi on, you MUST Turn off/Disable 5G wifi for it to work. This must be done via router setting. when i get my next one, i will try do a better step by step instructions.

    4. i was having trouble using this camera outside the range of the wifi that my camera is connected with. what i did was: i opened my fone's browser. typed whats my external id . noted down the id. then opened my app on my fone. went to the settings of my functional camera ( at that time fone and camera both connected to the same wifi) opened advanced settings. clicked on manual ip and entered my previously noted external ip address on all 5 options . and taddah! i switched my fone to mobile data and it worked.
thanks to above reply " You need to first get your outside IP address as the IP address of the world has to get to your computer can you get that by typing in a browser find my IP or what’s my IP then you open up the program going to settings this is for the V380 click on IP click on manual and put everything the way it is on your network except where it says Gateway do you want to put your outside IP address everything else is the same the 1921-6811 and the whole 9 yards and then it will work remotely" it lead me into it.

    1. from main menu, connect to the camera, when you have been able to see the live video, down right of the application there's a button "more", and inside it there are 3 buttons or more. inversion. install. preset ptz. motion track. light sensitivity. click motion track and activate the button. if the button motion track is not available then possibly: you dont have a rotating camera (1), or the rotation is blocked or jammed (2), or the application need to update the firmware of the camera using high speed internet connection (3).

  16. v380 cameras can work as an AP hotspot mode (1) that can stand alone and make a hotspot with a unique name and you can assign a password. working this way, v380 phone applications can only view the camera feed when the phone connects to the camera hotspot. so you can't take it away more than 5 meters. at 10 meters the wifi signal is very weak and you lost video feed. alternatively, the v380 cameras can work as wifi station (2) that needs to be setup to connect to a nearby wifi that has high speed internet connection (minimum 50-100kb/s to work), at a distance of maximum 3 meters. if that requirements are ok then the v380 cameras should be able to view the camera video from halfway across the globe, using 4G internet connection. if you can't view the video feed from far away, possible (1) the camera is setup as a hotspot, not as a wifi station. (2) the camera is too far from wifi, the signal bar should be full for the video feed to work. maximum 3 meters from wifi. (3) the internet speed provided by the wifi is very slow or disconnected often. try using a wifi modem that uses a 4G sim card. or broadband internet connection (cable internet). or provide an android phone that has 4G internet connection and make a hotspot, and connect the v380 camera to this hotspot. the phone should be charged while providing a hotspot.

    1. You can't view V380 camera remotely by merely connecting to a router with internet access. For any camera to be remotely accessed must have provision to obtain Manual/DHCP IP ADDRESS, Port number and other parameters that would enable it's IP address to be forwarded on the internet enabled router . Checking through V380 camera I have not seen how it obtain Port number
